FAQ
1. Can I book single walks?
Unfortunately we cannot provide the occasional, one-off walk as part of our main dog walking service. Dogs need regular exercise, so the minimum we offer are 2 walks a week, over an extended period. If booking into our daycare service a walk will be provided as part of the price.
2. Do I need to be at home when my dog is picked up?
No, we have public liability and key holder insurance, and are able to access your home, pick up your dog, and drop them off again without you being there. We have spent many years in healthcare and teaching environments, and can be trusted with your homes and pets. We will be respectful at all times to your property and belongings, will keep all keys safe and secure, and will discuss any requirements at our initial assessment.
3. Where do the walks take place, and how many dogs will be on them?
We have lived in the local area for the last 10 years, and have good knowledge of the areas we cover, so have a number of walking routes in place, all having been enjoyed by ourselves and our dogs for many years.
Our groups sizes vary but generally there are 3 or 4 dogs in each group, walked by one of us. When we are both available we may take 5 or 6 dogs out together. We aim to walk dogs of similar sizes, ages, and physical ability in groups with each other, so each dog can get the most out of their walk.
4. Do you provide dog training?
No, we do work on basic skills to allow all dogs to walk as part of a group, but we do not offer any specific dog training. All dogs will initially be walked on the lead until we are confident in their recall abilities, and we have built a good relationship with them.
